Spiritual Gifts

spiritual Gifts Test

Click on link above to take spiritual gifts test.

Begin looking for opportunities to use your spiritual gifts as God opens doors for you.  Pray that God would show you how you can use your spiritual gift within the Body (His Church) and where you can

Implement your spiritual gift out in the world to draw people to Christ.  Think of it this way:  your spiritual gift is the way God has spiritually wired you to show His love.

If you have the gift of administration...

You have been blessed with great organizational abilities.  You derive great satisfaction from seeing projects completed. If     you scored high in this area...

Inside the body:  you should consider being involved in an area of ministry in which you can utilize your organizational  strengths to carry out specific plans.  Every ministry of The Chapel is looking for people to help organize and see things done for the Gospel’s sake.

Into the world:   you can use your gift of administration to help organize activities and projects and events.  As you do that, you will have opportunity to rub shoulders with others and they can see how much you love Christ and them.

If you have the gift of exhortation

You have been blessed with the special ability to encourage others -- by giving words of comfort, encouragement, and counsel in times of crisis.  If you scored high in this area...

Inside the body:  you should consider being involved in an area of ministry in which you can utilize your ability to encourage others.  Being a part of our prayer ministry and our team of prayer partners are two examples of how God can use you to comfort, encourage, and counsel others.

Into the world:  ask God to provide opportunity for you to befriend and minister to people.  When people are in need, they      sometimes are in the spot where they will be willing to talk about God issues.  You have the ability to love on people when            they need to be encouraged.  Pray for sensitivity to His leading as He brings people who are hurting into your heart.  Ask   Him to give you the right words to say and the right spirit in which to say it.

If you have the gift of giving

You have been blessed with the ability to give material goods and resources with joy.  If you scored high in this area...         Inside the body:  you should consider not only what ministries to support with your personal finances, but how your      example can motivate others to follow the Lord’s leadership in their own giving.  Do it with joy.  And don’t think just in          terms of giving of your finances, but how you can give of your time to the Lord’s work.  We always need volunteers in the            various ministries of The Chapel.  Be generous with your time so that God can love His church through you.

Into the world:  ask God to give you great discernment to lead you to ways that you can minister to the material needs of          those who don’t know Christ.  Do it with love and joy.  Pray God would use your generous spirit to open doors for people      to see and hear the Gospel.

If you have the gift of mercy

You have been blessed with the ability to have compassion for those who are suffering.  If you scored high in this area...          Inside the body:   you should consider getting involved in our visitation ministry to the shut-ins or to those who are in the   hospital. Since you derive great joy in meeting the needs of others, you will attract people in distress. Meet their needs   with compassion.

Into the world:  there are plenty of opportunities for you to show compassion for those who are suffering. Consider being     involved in programs that reach out to those who are hurting and become a light in a dark place. Watch as God uses you     to draw people to Himself as you love on people in their distress.

If you have the gift of prophecy

You have been blessed with the ability to proclaim God’s truth without compromise.  If you scored high in this area...    Inside the body:  you should consider looking for a ministry where you can challenge others to live by God’s standards as   set forth in God’s Word.  Understand that it will be more difficult for you than most to say what needs to be said with      kindness and grace.  Be careful that you don’t offend with your approach.  Being a small group leader in a home group or       a small group leader in our student ministry or women’s or men’s or singles may be the place for you.

Into the world:  pray for the right opportunities to confront people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Do it in the spirit of

Christ and ask Him to bless your efforts.

If you have the gift of service

You have been blessed with the ability to perform any task with joy that benefits others and meets practical needs.  If you   scored high in this area...

Inside the body:  you should consider the many opportunities here to serve:  in our food services, in our building and               grounds area, as an usher, as a greeter.  You have the joy to serve -- ask God to open doors for you.  And learn to say ‘no’   to the good things so you can say ‘yes’ to the best God has for you.

Into the world:  ask God to show you where you can serve people -- doing unprovoked acts of kindness -- simply as an opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ in a tangible way ‘with no strings attached.’  Use your home as a place              to show hospitality.

If you have the gift of teaching

You have been blessed with the ability to explain God’s truths so there is understanding and application in the lives of       others.  If you scored high in this area...

Inside the body:  You should consider the opportunities in our small group ministry -- to possibly lead or help lead a small group.

Into the world:  you have a unique ability to communicate well. Ask God for opportunities to communicate with those who do not know Christ.
